Before I’ve even proven the concept of YAMAGULL v1.0 I’ve got plans to make YAMAGULL v2.0.
YAMAGULL v2.0 will be made with the light resonant body from a Red label 1970 Yamaha FG-180 (1208481, 45.4.9), and the wide neck from a 1992 Seagull S6 Folk (52944).
The 1970 FG-180 has a neck with a cracked heel, a big dent in the back of the neck, some fret wear and excellent condition tuners. It also has a cracked bridge and very badly needs a neck reset.
The 1992 Seagull S6 Folk has a neck that had a broken heel (fixed) and long ding on the back of the headstock where it must have hit.
It will have the same challenges as YAMAGULL v1.0. I need to make YAMAGULL v1.0 before starting v2.0 to be sure it’s feasible.
